Mutual Aid Requests Roundup 10/06/2026

Some weeks it feels like none of this matters. That feeling is rational; it is a system working exactly as intended. This week’s mutual aid roundup listed twelve requests and eleven Palestinian campaigns that need movement. Just like me, they need help. I’m unsure if I have any reasons or justifications other than I just felt like doing it, I just felt like listing them all. Maybe because they’re there, maybe because some weeks are harder than the rest, maybe because I can and don’t need any reason or justification to do something, or maybe because this is the only thing I can give them. We help not because we can, or because we want to, but because we must. If you can't or won't help me, then help them. Support them within your capacity in the way that matters—materially, socially, however you can.

Poster with a light purple radial burst background and a maroon panel centred around a large QR code with the wrzky logo in the middle. A white comic-style burst at the top left reads “SCAN HERE.” To the right of the logo, text says “Keep Wanda fed, medicated, and able to sustain her work.” A row of fruits and vegetables spans the bottom. BIRTHDAY MONTH ESSENTIAL NEEDS — $375+ DEADLINE 16/06/2026

BIRTHDAY MONTH'S ESSENTIALS $375+ DEADLINE 16/06/2026
June minimum for basic survival: $375
$250 groceries
$90 utilities + water
$35 internet + phone data
This is before meds, and before the building maintenance fee landing this month. Monthly pledges are the most sustainable way to support this. One-off contributions also help. Sharing this post costs nothing and extends reach beyond exhausted circles.
This keeps me fed, medicated, and able to sustain the mutual aid infrastructure and writing I've been building. The work continues either way. It's just harder when I'm hungry. Support links in bio / QR code on the poster.

Mutual Aid Checkpoint Roundup 27/05/2026

I’ve listed mutual aid requests from this week’s checkpoint that need urgent support: rent, food, medicine, utilities, and everything else that enables people to live with dignity. Please read through, support directly, share requests that still need movement, or boost this post far and wide so they can move beyond one feed and reach people who can help.
Again, this is a roundup of the first 10 requests shared under the previous Friday mutual aid checkpoint on my main profile, @wrzky
Give directly if possible, boost each request and this post, and see you next week.

It’s been a minute…

After losing multiple Threads accounts, WRZKY began rebuilding through the Fediverse, federating the website via ActivityPub, and developing independent mutual aid infrastructure beyond Meta’s corporate control and algorithmic suppression—while preparing the return of Mutual Aid Checkpoint through decentralised platforms and newsletter-based community organising.

Rage Against the Machine: Toward Humane Systems of Mutual Aid

Humanitarian aid is sold as neutral and benevolent. On the ground, it is an outpost of empire. It registers, sorts, and disciplines the people it claims to save, and leaves untouched what wrecked them. In Palestine, it normalises occupation and freezes life in permanent limbo. In Sudan, it retreated and left devastation behind. In Congo, it manages displacement while extraction rolls on. States have even captured zakat and turned it into prestige and bureaucracy. Still, communities feed each other. Palestinian crowdfunding, Sudan's Emergency Response Rooms, and Team Congo RDC bypass the gatekeepers and put resources in people's hands, with no donor hierarchy. Share this work, and strengthen the mutual aid ecosystem.
